Jam City's Classical Genesis Mix

Jam City’s debut full length album ‘Classical Curves’ (he spoke about some of the ideas behind it in an interview last year) is released by Night Slugs next week. It’s a striking album, stripped-down, future-facing club music, all sharp edges and thick hits of bass.

Night Slugs have posted this mix which provides an eclectic journey through the music that informed the album. There’s techno from the likes of Steve Poindexter, a Dance Mania cut from Traxmen, but also more unexpected moments, such as avant-garde artist Laurie Anderson appearing twice. All in all it showcases an artist with strong and varied taste, and the mix itself is put together with the kind of high-energy one always expects from Jam City.
