Blossom Hill's 'Home Colours Remixed' EP Serves Dancefloor Energy
'Home Colours Remixed' marks an evocative next chapter in Blossom Hill's creative journey. Revisiting their deeply personal debut EP, Blossom Hill hands the reins to four boundary-pushing producers—Facta, Debba, Kin Teal, and Pépe—to reinterpret the work through a club-focused lens.
“For my first release, I was perhaps a little precious about the original tracks,” Blossom Hill reflects. “Releasing the music was the first catharsis, but handing over the stems feels like the second stage, the beginning of a fresh and exciting new life for these ideas.”
The remixers deliver a spectrum of reimaginings: Facta crafts a cohesive, techno-forward atmosphere, while Kin Teal infuses footwork rhythms with experimental flair. Debba sharpens the energy with rugged UK beats, and Pépe rounds out the project with an abstract, atmospheric interpretation that expands on the album’s emotive core.
At its heart, 'Home Colours Remixed' underscores the dual nature of music as both personal and communal. While the original album delved into fluid genres and introspective themes, this new collection prioritises rhythm and energy, transforming vulnerability into movement.
Blossom Hill’s journey from introspection to collaboration highlights the evolving life of music—a narrative reshaped by others and made to resonate anew on the dancefloor.
'Home Colours (Remixed)' is out now via Loose Fit Records Ltd.
