Emika - Pretend (Kyle Hall Remix) [MP3]

Bristolian-in-Berlin Emika takes the weight and bass pressure of British dance music, and then applies a mechanical, industrial edge to the sound, certainly informed by her time living and working in the dark techno of the German capital. She’s set to release her debut album this coming Autumn, following on from singles ‘Drop The Other’ and ‘Count Backwards’ and, in anticipation of the album track Pretend being released as a single this September, is giving away a remix by Detroit producer Kyle Hall. Hall’s remix picks and chooses sparingly from the original, and drives it into lightly fizzing, lo-fi, shape, ready to be sent crackling and bouncing around a dance-floor. You can download the MP3.
