Mysterious LA-based duo Emotional Oranges are keeping things anon (for the time being, anyway…)
File the collective somewhere in between Disclosure and Anderson .Paak, with a unique brand of mellow, sunshine-soaked pop.
Filled with gentle guitars and hyper-smooth vocals, new single ‘Corners Of My Mind’ was inspired by watching a close friend endure a painful heartbreak.
“This song was birthed by us attempting to reflect on how we would have reacted had it happened to us,” they say. “The irony is as he was losing love, one of us was finding new love. It made the whole process of writing it all quite painful.”
Emotional Oranges continue: “We listened to a lot of The xx and Rhye remixes over the holidays and wanted to create something with that same energy.”
