Fred again.. Remixes Joy Orbison on 'flex fm (freddit)'
Collaborator-in-Chief Fred again.. has brought together London and Atlanta with his edit of Joy Orbison's 'flight fm' and Lil Yachty's 'Flex Up'.
Described by Lil Yachty in an Instagram post by Joy Orbison "like a thousand bees swarming", 'flex fm (freddit)' takes the two spheres and collides them, adding his unmistakeable sound to the edit.
Carrying a dark, driving intensity, 'flex fm (freddit)' sits closely to Fred again..'s recent 'USB' album, and has been a highlight of his sets around the world, most recently at his first ever stadium show at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum last month.
Named after his favourite London-based radio station, Joy Orbison's original tune dropped back in January, and has since been remixed by the likes of Disclosure, Charli xcx, and Dom Dolla. Lil Yachty's 'Flex Up', featuring Future and Playboi Carti, is more of throwback, released in 2020.
The edit was first created by Fred to play at his The Lot Radio and Knockdown Center shows with Lil Yachty and Overmono in New York to celebrate the release of their collaborative single, 'stayinit' (now on the 'USB' album).
True to Fred again.. form, this is a dance track sure to get you hyped.
