Halina Rice Pushes the Boundaries of Sound and Vision on New Album 'UNREALITY'

The London-based electronic artist brings her immersive live experience to ADE, HERE at Outernet, and MUTEK Japan this autumn.

Electronic producer and AV artist Halina Rice returns this autumn with her new album 'UNREALITY' - a record that blurs the line between sound, technology, and emotion.

Known for her “immersive-first” approach, pairing emotive electronic compositions with cutting-edge visuals and spatial audio, Rice continues to expand the possibilities of live electronic music.

Following the critical success of her 2024 album 'EVOLVE,' praised for its electronic innovation, 'UNREALITY' builds on Rice’s growing reputation as one of the UK’s most forward-thinking artists.

The album blends warped sound design, deconstructed club rhythms, and cinematic ambience, reflecting Rice’s mission “to inspire people to move - and to be moved.” Her live shows for 'UNREALITY' promise full audiovisual immersion, featuring collaborations with visual artist Freny Antony and tech innovators Target3D, who have developed pioneering 360° visuals using a new Gaussian Splatting technique. The visuals, centred around dancer and choreographer Anna Vargha, elevate the album’s standout track Endless into a fully enveloping experience.

Rice will premiere 'UNREALITY' across a run of major international shows, including Amsterdam Dance Event (23rd October), HERE at Outernet, London (7th November), and MUTEK Japan (22nd November) - each performance presented in immersive spatial sound.

“My main focus is to present compelling, emotive and innovative music and visuals in order to move the audience outside of their day-to-day experience,” says Rice. “I want people to come away feeling inspired.”
