hidingthehurt returns with feel-good anti-pop anthem 'Simplicity'

UK hyperpop prodigy hidingthehurt is back with a brand new track to open his account for 2023.

The lead single from his forthcoming sophomore EP, 'Simplicity' sees the rising producer - real name Ollie Greenhalgh - continue to distance himself from the themes of depression and heartbreak coursing his debut project.

Adopting a much more optimistic outlook towards love and life in general, the latest hidingthehurt offering follows in the footsteps of his more recent releases ‘Heaven Sent’ and ‘The Day U Said U Wanna Die’, transforming his previous negative feelings surrounding this sphere into one of positivity - an indication for the direction of his forthcoming project.

It's the inability to pin Greenhalgh’s music to a specific sound that he thrives off. Heavy rock style electric guitars serve as the main channel through 'Simplicity', combining with fast paced anti-pop style drum sequences and glitchy, sparse synthetic melodies.
