KEYAH/BLU shares an eerie video for new single 'Choker'
After featuring on Denzel Himself’s heatedly-received COLORS session, up-and-coming South London talent KEYAH/BLU has produced a flurry of tunes in her time, the latest being new single ‘Choker’, which drops alongside an eerie music video.
With a shower of punchy lyrics, the track is delivered with an attitude that has become synonymous with the young musician; riding the wave of a jumpy instrumental carried along by a sequence of crackling drum ripples.
The accompanying video provides some spooky visuals, featuring the young artist gripping a meat cleaver and smoking cigarettes, while the grainy filter and jarring camera cuts produce a sinister energy – boasting all the ingredients of an exciting new talent on the scene.
Of the track, Keyah says: “The song is basically saying do what you want, really. And don’t let outside crap suffocate you ‘cos you’re the shit.”
