Laura Roy’s 'Bone To Pick' Is an Intimate Dose of Self-Reflection

A stirring exploration of loss, growth, and rediscovery.

London-based Canadian artist Laura Roy has returned with 'Bone To Pick'.

Known for her signature fusion of folk-soul and alternative R&B, Roy’s latest single reaffirms her knack for weaving introspective storytelling with rich, genre-defying soundscapes.

It’s a song about finding clarity in chaos, a reminder that personal growth often springs from moments of uncertainty. The message is made all the more powerful by Roy's delivery. The rising star's warm vocals are both delicate and undeniably powerful as she navigates emotional terrain with raw honesty. The track’s soulful melodies and stripped-back production highlight Roy’s ability to create intimate moments while leaving a lasting impact. If you close your eyes, it's almost as if she's right there in the room with you.

Last year was a big one for Laura Roy. Not only did she sing backing vocals for Sabrina Carpenter at her Wembley Arena show and Dua Lipa's BBC Live Lounge, but performed with Lianne La Havas and toured the world with JP Cooper's band. Rounding out the year, in November, Roy released her single 'BEEF'.

'Bone To Pick' is another taste of what's to come from the double Grammy nominee as she records her debut album.

'Bone to Pick' is out now via AURA Music.
