Nia Archives and Jorja Smith Collaborate on 'Get Me Down'

The new single arrives ahead of Nia's 'Emotional Junglist' album dropping next Friday.

Nia Archives and Jorja Smith state their claim for song of the summer with euphoric new single ‘Get Me Down’.

Marking the fourth single to be lifted from Nia's forthcoming album 'Emotional Junglist', due for release on 17 July via Island Records, ‘Get Me Down’ pairs Nia's unmistakable jungle production with Jorja Smith's soulful vocals. The result leans into the genre's roots through rolling breakbeats, heavyweight basslines and an airy vocal interplay.

The collab arrives alongside a futuristic music video, co-directed by Nia and longtime collaborator Jay Douglas, which sees Nia and Jorja dancing through a gleaming, silver-hued club space.

The duo gave the track its live debut last night at an intimate event hosted at London's Código1530 Penthouse, ahead of Nia's upcoming six-date UK b2b tour, which kicks off this weekend and features appearances from the likes of Clipz, Chimpo, Sexy Lady Massive, Nectax, Worsleyy, Cheff The Boy and Janaway.

Speaking about the collaboration, Jorja Smith said: "I loved working with Nia in the studio; it was so inspiring watching her work. Find plug ins, mess around with my vocal. I'm such a fan of hers!!"

Nia added: "Very gassed to have worked with Jorja on this album, my first ever feature!! Feels like a full circle moment since I did the 'Little Things' remix in 2023. Working with Jorja is so seamless and we had a lot of fun in the studio – this is one of my favourite tracks on the album."

‘Get Me Down’ continues to expand the emotional and sonic world of 'Emotional Junglist', following previous singles ‘Danger’, ‘Boys In Blue’ and ‘Vertical’. Written throughout a turbulent 2025, the album chronicles the highs and lows of falling in and out of love, while pushing Nia's alt-jungle sound into new territory. Working alongside collaborators including James Ford, Ethan P. Flynn and Julia Michaels, the record blends jungle's breakneck energy with influences from indie pop and '90s electronica, while guest appearances from Jorja Smith and Sampha mark a significant evolution in her songwriting.

The release follows a whirlwind few months for Nia, whose sold-out debut live shows across Leeds, London and New York have cemented this new chapter, alongside standout festival appearances at Forbidden Fruit, Parklife and Sónar. She is also set to appear at All Points East later this summer, where she joins a bill featuring both Jorja Smith and Tems.

Jorja fans will be pleased to hear that her third album, 'What Are The Odds', will release on 21 August. Produced by longtime collaborator P2J, the record explores UK garage, grime, 2-step, UK funky and soulful house.

'Get Me Down' is out now via Island Records.
