NYC Riser Tahjii Releases Debut EP 'vacation'

Trance Records, the brainchild of multi-hyphenate artist Talia Goddess, proudly unveils 'vacation,' the debut EP from rising New York talent tahjii.

As the first artist to debut under the Trance Records banner, tahjii delivers a deeply introspective and genre-defying project that solidifies both his artistic identity and the label’s mission to push creative boundaries.

Hailing from Queens and raised on Long Island, tahjii’s journey into music began with classical piano lessons at age ten, encouraged by his grandmother. His talent flourished at the Frank Sinatra School of the Arts and continued at Berklee College of Music. However, it was at Berklee where tahjii confronted the realities of his craft, ultimately choosing to break away from traditional structures to fully embrace his artistry. 'vacation' is a reflection of that journey—an emotional deep dive into self-exploration, vulnerability, and raw expression.

Entirely self-written and produced, the EP showcases tahjii’s versatility as a multi-instrumentalist, singer-songwriter, and producer. Merging indie alternative, lo-fi hip-hop, and experimental rock, 'vacation' offers a rich sonic experience that speaks to the introspective listener. "To me, this EP has been my diary, where I let myself slow down and feel," says tahjii. "I hope my art can inspire some introspection too!"
