YARD Drop Thunderous New Single 'Trevor'
Fresh off a breakout year, Dublin-based YARD waste no time in setting the tone for 2025 with their latest single, ‘Trevor’ - a relentless fusion of techno, rock, and industrial chaos. Known for their ferocious live shows and enigmatic mascot ‘Bucketman’, YARD continue to push sonic boundaries with this electrifying new release.
A dystopian fever dream, ‘Trevor’ surges with pulsating beats, screeching synths, and a sense of impending rupture. Drawing influence from the likes of Nine Inch Nails, Death Grips, and SUUNS, the track balances high-intensity aggression with a hypnotic, club-ready pulse. Vocalist Emmet White reveals the intriguing inspiration behind the song, exploring anthropomorphism—the tendency to assign human emotions to objects.
"I’ve a habit of naming inanimate objects that have played a significant role in my life. ‘Trevor’ was my bike, passed down from my brother, and when it was stolen, it felt like losing a friend," White shares.
With their EP dropping in May, ‘Trevor’ cements YARD’s reputation as one of the most exhilarating new forces in alternative music—proving once again that they are a band best experienced at full volume.
