LA singer teams up with hazy beatmaker for her new single.

Here's a good one to start your day – BANKS' new single, BRAIN, is produced by hazy beat king Shlohmo.

BANKS has a history working with solid producers already (one of her breakthrough tracks, Work, featured Lil Silva behind the boards) so it's not a wildly surprising combo. That said, the two LA artists seem a particularly good match on paper. Shlohmo has been on top form with production over the past 12 months, having laid down instrumentals for the likes of How To Dress Well and Jeremih, and with BRAIN, it's yet more indication that he should be working with vocalists as much as possible.

If you want to catch BANKS play some shows in the UK, she announced a tour recently. The London date has since sold out, but she's added a new one at the KOKO on April 1st.
