Ducktails announces new album 'St. Catherine'

Matt Mondanile is releasing his fifth album as Ducktails in July.

'St. Catherine' follows the LA songwriter, Real Estate member, and general and cult hero's 2013 album 'The Flower Lane' and promises to move Ducktails "to a more refined, personal, and sincere place", according to its press release.

Like 'The Flower Lane', 'St. Catherine' sees Mondanile continue to open up his world to a greater cast of friends from the US underground, with album collaborators including Julia Holter (on Church and Heaven's Room) and James Ferraro (on Headbanging In The Mirror, which can be heard now).

Mondanile also enlisted the help of Rob Schnapf, co-producer of Elliott Smith's 'XO' and 'Either/Or', to finish the record.
