Listen to the seventh instalment in the series, which draws together two exclusive interviews, new music and a recording of an old drum solo.

Field Day have released the seventh instalment in their string of radio episodes, which reflect the festival’s exciting and innovative line-ups and feature exclusive interviews plus new music. In this episode, Field Day talks to Mulatu Astatke, founder of Ethio Jazz and pioneer in Ethiopia’s musical history as well as Glasgow electro-pop trio Chvrches. In addition, it showcases tracks from Everything Everything, Django Django, How To Dress Well, Tim Burgess, Disclosure and, to top it all off, a thrilling 1978 drum solo from Ginger Baker.

Last week, Field Day announced a number of new additions to their line up, including Solange, Egyptian Hip Hop and Mount Kimbie.
