Frank Ocean previews new song on Instagram

Frank Ocean has shared a preview of some new music on his official Instagram account - and it sounds great.

The elusive star has been in the headlines a lot this year. Most infamous was his Coachella controversy back in April, after he pulled out of his weekend two headline slot following a widely criticised first performance (which even he labelled "chaotic"). A few months after, Ocean made the news again when he released a photography book made out of tissue paper and sold it for $75.

Coinciding with these antics, speculation has been building around the highly-anticipated follow up album to 2016's 'Blonde'. Towards the start of the year, Ocean teased a new project with a cryptic message on the back of posters sold at one of his merch drops.

Even more recently, Zane Lowe had to shut down a rumour that he hinted at a Frank Ocean feature on Drake's recently released LP 'For All The Dogs'.

As has often been the case with Frank Ocean since he put out his last album in 2016, there's been a lot of noise orbiting the superstar but no music. However, that changed today after the artist took to his Instagram Stories to post a minute-long snippet of a new, unreleased song.

The Instagram Story is set to expire by tomorrow (November 10), but has already been recorded and shared on X/Twitter – listen to it below.
