Palace x Happy Mondays' collaboration is a modern twist on Madchester fashion
Happy Mondays have teamed up with skateboard brand Palace to produce a clothing range inspired by the Manchester band’s iconic style and sound.
The collection features apparel based on the Mondays’ 1999 ‘Greatest Hits’ album, as well as a button-up shirt emblazoned with a still from the group’s 1990 ‘Step On’ video, and tees with a print of percussionist and dancer Mark “Bez” Berry playing the maracas.
Palace worked closely with the band on the collection, releasing a teaser video showing frontman Shaun Ryder and Bez unboxing some of the pieces while discussing their changing fashion tastes.
The Happy Mondays x Palace Fall 2020 capsule included in Palace’s Week 7 Drop is set for both in-store and online releases starting September 18, 11 a.m. on the brand’s official webstore.
