You don’t hear many voices like that of Shannon Funchess of Brooklyn gothic synth pop act Light Asylum. She drops her voice to a growl for the kraut-like anthem IPC, singing over bandmate Bruno Coviello’s drum machine electro-pop on the latest track to surface in anticipation of the band’s self-titled debut LP due in May.
