Games and Joy Orbison in name change news roundup to release new music

Games to become Ford & Lopatin; Joy Orbison slims down to Joy O, both have things coming out.

Brooklyn-based electronic producers Games have announced a few new developments. The duo, Daniel Lopatin from Oneohtrix Point Never and Joel Ford from Tigercity, are no longer called Games as they changed their name into Ford & Lopatin. The pair will be running a branched-out label called Software, which is a new offshoot of the Brooklyn label Mexican Summer. Software has releases planned already from Oneohtrix Point Never, Demdike Stare, and more.

Meanwhile, London-based DJ/producer Joy Orbison who is probably best known for his 2009 chart-topping hit ‘Hyph Mngo’ has changed his name to Joy O for the new two-track single ‘Wade In/ Jells’, which will be released on Hotflush on 21st March, 2011, which you can hear below.

(Ignore the “Joy Orbison” at the top, sometimes people on the internet get things wrong)
