Plastikman announces 2011 tour

Richie Hawtin is taking his new and improved live show to Europe and the US this summer.

This summer sees Plastikman’s return, when he’ll come armed with improved visuals, music and technology to bring audience a whole new live show, with Richie Hawtin set to bring Plastikman Live 1.5 to Ibiza’s Amnesia on the 5th August before he hits other European cities and the US. The audio-visual show was designed in collaboration with visual architects Derivative Inc. and debuted at Time Warp 2010 in Mannheim. Minus artists who will be supporting the tour include Marco Carola, Magda, Gaiser and Ambivalent. Plastikman Live 1.5 ends in Turin, Italy on the 7th December.

In Riche’s words: “These dates will represent the last opportunities for fans to catch Plastikman Live in its current form: the 1.5 version of the show we’ve spent nearly a year of fine-tuning… After that, Plastikman will be returning to the shadows to begin work on a brand new 2.0 concept. The fall tour will be full of surprises, and the performance will continue to be spontaneous and unique for every show–the way I believe live music should be performed in 2011.”
