We Out Here returns for 2021 with Moses Boyd, Leon Vyenhall, Anz

More acts join the previously-announced Ezra Collective, Overmono and Sherelle

Gilles Peterson’s We Out Here festival will be throwing its second edition this year, with over 100 artists and collectives including Moses Boyd, Leon Vynehall, Anz and Sons of Kemet added to the line-up today.

Co-curated with Peterson’s Brownswood Recordings label and Worldwide FM station, the four-day festival will take place at Abbots Ripton, Cambridgeshire (the old site of Secret Garden Party), on August 19th – 22nd 2021.

With an emphasis on jazz as well as underground electronic music, We Out Here has also secured Kokoroko, Nubya Garcia and Ezra Collective along with Floating Points, Al Wootton, Shanti Celeste and Benji B.

The first edition of the festival took place in 2019, but was forced to cancel last year due to the pandemic.

“We’re delighted to announce so many great additions to this summer’s We Out Here,” Gilles Peterson said. “After what has been an incredibly challenging year for music, we’re feeling hopeful and excited that we will be able to bring the community together safely this summer for the celebration we’ve all been yearning for.”
