You can now listen to the FC Barcelona squad's match day playlists on Spotify
Spanish football giants FC Barcelona have partnered with Spotify on a new series of 'Player Playlists', allowing fans to access a selection of tracks the team use in the changing room to get motivated for games.
So far, playlists by Pedri and women’s team captain Alexia Putellas have been made public, including tracks from Travis Scott, Roddy Rich and J Balvin.
The five-times European champions are currently in their first season of a new 4-year partnership with the audio streaming platform as their main shirt sponsor. Putting their relationship with Barcelona to good use already, Spotify released the Barcelona players’ Spotify Wrapped at the end of 2022 and are now taking it one step further with these personalised playlists.
“I’m really happy to take over the match day playlist and share my favourite tracks. Music is all around us as football players from training to the changing room before and after matches,” says Pedri on his selections.
“We are all so passionate about our music in the team and I am proud to be the first Barça Femení player to curate the match day playlist,” said Putellas. “I hope fans will enjoy the music and feel what it’s like to be among the players as we get pumped up for a match!”
