Become a Gig Maker with Oxjam and throw the party of your dreams

Month-long music festival Oxjam is returning in October this year, and they're looking for Gig Makers to put on shows.

Since its inception in 2006, Oxjam has raised a cool £2.6 million for charity by throwing hundreds of volunteer-organised gigs and parties around the UK, with past lineups boasting sets and sessions from the likes of 2manydjs, Hot Chip, and Four Tet.

Oxjam are currently looking for promoters, organisers, party starters, and all-round keen beans to take on the role of Gig Maker to put on some shows for this year's edition of the festival, which takes place throughout October.

Experience isn't necessary, and any and all musical styles are welcome, so it's an excellent chance to be adventurous – if you're part of a local crew or collective and you're sick of safe bet bookings and homogenised lineups, we can't think of a better opportunity to put on a party on your own terms (and, of course, raise a bit of money for charity in the process).
