Five acts to catch at RALLY Festival 2023

We've listed our picks for the Southwark Park festival happening this weekend...

Paying homage to London's immense melting pot of talent while simultaneously mixing in some of the most exciting names from around the world, RALLY Festival's anticipated inaugural event takes place this Saturday (August 5) in Southwark Park.

With so many amazing acts on the line up to choose from, festival goers are spoilt for choice. Below, we've listed five of the acts we think are unmissable going into the weekend.

Erika de Casier

Bringing her skippy beats and DIY ethic to South East London this weekend, Copenhagen songwriter-producer Erika de Casier's music is as forward-thinking as it is nostalgic. One of our standout performances from Glastonbury this year already, this avant-garde pop icon will be sure to sprinkle RALLY's debut year with some '90's-leaning R&B magic. You won't want to miss out on this one.

Leon Vynehall b2b Yu Su

For the dance music fanatics out there, a b2b set from electronic leaders Leon Vynehall and Yu Su is enough to make mouths water. Alongside accolades for his output as a producer, Vynehall is just as celebrated for his ability as a selector - something he'll be sure to showcase across what is shaping up to be a memorable set.

Louis Culture

Louis Culture is renowned as one of the capital's most exciting rising rappers - and for good reason. As a native South Londoner, he won't have to travel too far to get to the festival on Saturday and will be keen to get the party started before he sets off on his EU tour in September. Blending UK garage flavours with elements of electronic funk and house and beyond, this promises to be a rap show like no other.

PVA

South London band PVA consolidates the beating pulse of electronic music with the raw energy of a life-affirming gig. We've caught PVA at a number of festivals over the years and each time they bring something different and special. Performing a stone's throw away from their stomping grounds, it's gearing up to be a big one.

Wu-Lu

Another South Londoner pitching up at RALLY on Saturday, Wu-Lu will be showing why his infamous live shows are so talked about in the city's underground gigging circuit. His dizzying mash-up of punk, lo-fi and hip-hop is something that needs to be experienced through some huge speakers. Luckily, RALLY is on hand to provide this.
