Numbers and Dedbeat announce the new 'Pleasure Principle' weekender for 2013

Essential Glasgow dance collective Numbers and the brains behind Dedbeat festival have announced a new weekend event for Spring 2013. Pleasure Principle will take place in a lush valley near Newquay, Cornwall between 26th and 28th April. The first teaser announcement of artists set to appear is looking pretty impeccable, with TNGHT, Ron Morelli, Rustie, Legowelt, Levon Vincent and Ben UFO being just some of the names already confirmed.

Dedbeat ran from 2001 to 2004 in Norfolk and was a consistent sell-out, with appearances from legendary underground names such as Aphex Twin and Madlib. The two camps have been allies for years, so the collaboration doesn’t come as too much of a surprise. Speaking on their intentions for Pleasure Principle, Numbers have said:

“This weekend is all about combining music and the life-affirming pleasure of escaping the daily grind. It has always been an ambition of ours to put on a festival and to be doing this with Dedbeat, a crew we looked up to when we started Numbers nearly a decade ago, makes it even more special for us.”

Tickets for the festival will be available here from Friday November 30th, with special early bird discounts available for a limited time. Also head to the Pleasure Principle website for a full list of all the confirmed artists, and to sign up for regular festival updates.
