What are you doing on New Year's Eve?

New Year’s Eve in London is a frantic experience, and even just deciding where to go can be a nightmare – but it doesn’t have to be that way. Here at Dummy, we’ve narrowed down the list of events round our hometown to five that are worth your time. Get in there quickly, and you should be able to secure tickets in time.

With hometown heroes Mount Kimbie playing live, Eastern Electrics NYE 2011 at The Coronet looks set to be one of the best parties of the night, with tickets going for just under £40 for a pre-ordered ticket, and £45 for one of 200 tickets that will be waiting for early birds on the door. As well as a four-hour set from Laurent Garnier, other highlights of the night are set to include Mulletover, Bloc and Warm (with Anja Schneider), Horse Meat Disco, Warm Residents and Geddes.

New Year’s Eve at XOYO , in conjunction with Bugged Out, is bursting with exciting names. Being lead by The 2 Bears (that is, Joe Goddard and Raf Daddy) are a pack of DJs including L Vis 1990 (of Night Slugs), Nathan Detroit (of Southern Fried), Disco Bloodbath and Legendary Children, laying the groundwork for a fun night of ecstatic house music to close 2011 with a bang. Make sure you’re in fit state to pop down to the New Year’s Day, at the Stag’s head in Dalston, from 12am the next day.

Over at Fabric the action will, as usual, be multi-tiered, as a strong line-up is spread between the three rooms. Dominating Room One will be Maya Jane Coles , who recently received the accolade of ‘Best Producer’ from DJ magazine, along with the likes of Tobi Neumann and Lil’ Louis. Pre-ordered tickets will set you back £40.

Tief’s NYE party at Corsica Studios presents a slightly cheaper option, with ‘final release’ tickets going for £30. The highlight of this night is a set from Hotflush south London producer Joy Orbison , alongside the Hotflush Recordings label founder himself, Scuba.

For even less cash, Dummy favourites xxxy are going to be seeing in the New Year at Netil House as part of the Beat Dimension NYE Warehouse Party . With other glittering names on the bill including Pariah and Space Dimension Controller, it’d be well worth your £18 – and you’d be wise to get in there quickly, with numbers rapidly dwindling.

Failing that, we hear YEEZY WORLD PEACE is available to DJ – just remember to put YEEZY WORLD PEACE on the e-vite, or he ain’t spinning.
