Salva - Live from United States of Bass

This year’s Red Bull Music Academy in New York has been a pretty wonderful experience for all involved, whether in person or via the post-RBMA online data dump. In the wake of the string of high profile events we’ve reaped the benefits of streams of everything from a lecture by Bok Bok to a talk from Four Tet about his live set to this DJ set from Friends of Friends affiliate, Frite Nite boss and rabid music consumer Salva. Recorded at United States of Bass, one of the events that took place in NYC as part of this year’s Academy programme at Santos Party House, the set mixes booty bass, trap, old skool electro, Juicy J, and of course that Mercy remix. It’s all pretty hyperactive stuff, and it brings to mind some of the ace mixes from Diplo and the Mad Decent crew coming out a few years ago.
