Surgeon's Blackest Ever Black showcase set online

Surgeon’s DJ set from last October’s Blackest Ever Black label showcase in London has been made available to stream and download on Spannered. Performing alongside fellow dark hearts Raime and Cut Hands, Anthony Child also made a surprise turn with a set as one half of British Murder Boys, with long-time collaborator Regis.

For his own set at the Shoreditch venue, Surgeon built an atmosphere of rumbling tension and dissonance with music from Roly Porter, Aphex Twin, Regis and Karenn, as well as a few of his own productions. Last year also saw the release of the superb ‘Breaking The Frame’, Surgeon’s first album in over 10 years.
