Cassius Gray develops his guitar-infused brand of UK rap on 'so silly'

London-hailing rapper, songwriter and musician Cassius Gray has shared his brand new single and visualiser ‘so silly’.

Splicing alternative UK rap with a spectrum of trap, garage, indie rock and beyond, the 23-year-old wordsmith has already worked on a pair of hit singles (‘From Here On Out’ and ‘A.M’) since emerging onto the scene a few years back.

His thoughtful yet playful approach to life as he grows into his manhood punctuates a lot of his discography so far, with his second offering of 2022 unpacking the thoughts and feelings that often manifest as a new love interest begins to bloom.

Toasting a sound distinctly in its own lane, Gray lays his vocals atop a luscious guitar riff that compliments the track’s lighthearted romantic lyricism.

The rising songwriter embodies a refreshing new generation of UK hip hop artists who aren’t afraid to experiment with new ideas on their way to the top. Complete with a cinematic visualiser by Honey JD of LoudHouse, ‘so silly’ provides one of his fullest and most interesting sounds to date.
