Cheek Inc. rework Acali's 'You Can't Plan No Shit' into a two-step dance floor anthem

Following the release of Acali‘s debut single ‘You Can’t Plan No Shit’ earlier in the month, New York disco rockers Chk Chk Chk and Pittsburgh Track Authority have put their skills together to inject some two step vibe into the trio’s summer anthem.

The new collaborative remix releases under the moniker Cheek Inc. and transforms Acali’s 80s-inspired disco sound into a thumping after-hours cut made for the dance floor.

Named after a 1973 social experiment which tested the adversity of a group of strangers from different races, cultures and religions as they sailed across the Atlantic Ocean on a raft, the Acali expedition came to be recognised as a beautiful demonstration of unity, kindness and the power of equality.

Inspired and connected by many of the same ideas that defined the expedition, Edd Gibson (Friendly Fires), Lea Lea (!!!) and Orlando Leopard (Arthur Beatrice) formed an eponymous trio to help challenge society’s expectations.

Asked about the new remix, Chk Chk Chk had this to say: “We were so psyched to work again with one of our all time favourites (Lea Lea) who is, was, and has always been an amazing artist. Love this remix for Acali’s track that we cooked up with Pittsburgh Track Authority.”
