DEELA's new single 'Take It Up' is for "people who realise their time is invaluable"

This year is shaping up to be DEELA's best yet. Fresh off her collaboration with superstar pop duo Coco & Clair Clair with 'The Hills' off of their debut album, the rising rapper delivers her latest single 'Take it Up'.

Displaying her effortless flow and her trademark unapologetic attitude, the new offering comes in the form of a melodic trap cut interwoven with flavours of hip hop and UK rap.

Born in Lagos, but based in London, the 20-year-old has quickly established a unique brand of UK-influenced trap, serving her hedonistic bars of sex, rage and power with an unflinching girl-boss attitude. DEELA has previously rapped about the scepticism she faced when entering the music industry and has made it her mission to prove her doubters wrong – a task she has been accomplishing with each new release so far.

Clearly done with her past lovers and pivoting her focus to the grind, the new track sees DEELA rap incendiary bars as she moves on amidst a Pierre-Bourne-inspired beat. The rapper describes the song as "perfect for people who realise their time is invaluable and cannot be messed with."
