Drone’s ‘Fangz’ is a dark-edged outing from the Bristol producer

Over the last few years, Hastings-born, Bristol-based Drone has proved himself to be a shining production voice of the UK underground, stepping out on Hear Other Sounds and Lemzly Dale’s Sector 7 Sounds.

The producer’s work has become a staple in the sets of the likes of Kahn & Neek, and has been drafted in to play a string of parties for esteemed label Coyote Records. Now the label is putting out a four-tracker of his – titled ‘Light Speed’, it’s an essential document of the kinds of ice-tinged electronics the label has become known for releasing.

A menacing, dark-hearted affair, ‘Fangz’ (which we’re premiering below) has already been backed by Mala, and can be filed away under ‘shadowy dubstep-meets-grime that’s system-ready’.
