Forevrboy enlists keyblayde808 on black metal inspired hyperpop anthem 'bulletbelt'

The new track brings together the underground scenes of London and New York...

Forevrboy is consistently on the lookout to break boundaries and push back against convention with his music. Following the release of his punk-inflicted single ‘Bad News’ in August, the rising star returns with the next offering from his upcoming ‘evilpop//evilworld’ project.

Entitled ‘bulletbelt’, Forevrboy’s new track brings together the underground scenes of London and New York, enlisting his Stateside companion keyblayde808 to produce and feature on the menacing pop single.

Continuing to develop his off-kilter, experimental sound, Forevrboy merges the maximalist production associated with hyperpop with the heavy distortion and shrieking vocals found in black metal music, creating a unique cross-over sound not often heard within the genres’ respective worlds.

Lyrically, the song explores modern gothic themes and touches on black metal references, specifically to do with the band Mayhem, merging the vocals of both artists into a chaotic medley of emotion.

Together with last month’s release ‘Bad News’, Forevrboy’s 2 new singles show fans what they can expect from the upcoming  ‘evilpop//evilworld’ EP and introduce the idea that pop music is somehow connected to the mystical and supernatural.
