GOODTIME - The Colours of Darkness (Tropics remix)

GOODTIME is Dublin based musician John Cowhie. While his recording name conjures up images of Justin Lee Collins, his music is, thankfully, infinitely more sophisticated. He has one of those grainy, characterful voices that suggests experience, heartache. Southampton producer Tropics, who released his album ‘Parodia Flare’ last year, has remixed the title track from Cowhie’s 2011 album and it’s a corker. It’s got a slow burning, shuffle-y funk feeling, the sort that makes you want to lean against some exposed brick wall and sip whiskey. Leaning feels nice, you know? Download it below.
