JME, leader of key grime crew and improbable phone network Boy Better Know, has released the best grime tune of the month. JME, one of the few early grime producer-MCs that really kept the flame alight instead of trying to make pop, has, ironically, always been had some of the funniest bars and most addictive hooks, and 96 Fuckries is a great example of both. Meaning ‘to do an un just act,’ 96 Fuckries is full of quotably improbable lines like “Coz my whip looks like it should be owned by Jeremy Clarkson or Richard Hammond / stereo with Krept and Kanon / in the boot are crepes and a cannon” and the kind of massive tune that made Avalanche Music 2, the CD of his instrumentals, such a vital collection.
