Lapalux - Quick Kiss [MP3]
Following up 2008’s ‘Forest’, Lapalux returns with a new EP ‘Many Faces Out Of Focus’, released two days ago via Pictures Music. The second track Quick Kiss exemplifies the guy’s fluidity in his approach to music. The convoluted layers of textures and sounds add up to this track, while the organic piano chords form a swinging hook to complete it as a melodic soundscape. With those crackling noises and breaks between each music interval, Lapalux’s free flowing method in creating these unformulated sounds is captivating and refreshing. Kind of jazzy, kind of hip-hoppy, kind of instrumental, kind of drony, this one-and-a-half-minute track fades out. It is short but sweet, just like a quick kiss.
