Listen: Count Counsellor - Akidoutthere (Beat Spacek Remix)

Last year, London via Adelaide producer Count Counsellor released his debut EP '& Childhood Heroes', a four-track short-player on Quality Time Recordings that introduced CC's studious all-encompassing approach to soul-influenced dance music. The seven-minute long EP closer Akidoutthere has since caught the ear of Ninja Tune's Beat Spacek, who is kicking off the year with a 10-minute edit of Counsellor's drifting, radiant original (premiering below).

On Beat Spacek's remix, the Africa Hitech member adds some jarring, golden keys to a mix shaped by the a repetitive vocal refrain and understated percussion snaps. Spacek's brew pulls in spacious, widescreen moments that favours an unhurried and casual manner – let it be your soundtrack to slip inside 2016 with ease.
