Listen: Sampha - Timmy's Prayer

Just after the stroke of midnight, last night Sampha shared a new song titled Timmy's Prayer.

Sampling Timmy Thomas's The Coldest Day of My Life (from the album 'Why Can't We Live Together', whose title-track was sampled on Drake's Hotline Bling) it's the first material Sampha Sisay has released since his 2013 EP 'Dual'. Prior to sharing the song, Sampha shared a note on his Twitter page explaining the absence of solo work, saying:

"It's been a while. I've had a lot to process these past couple of years, as we all do, and it's hard to articulate sometimes. I wanted to say thank you to all the people who've shown me so much love and support. I'm looking forward to start sharing my music with you again."
