Mya K explores escapism and addiction on new single 'Tipsy'
London-based songstress Mya K returns today with a brand new single, entitled ‘Tipsy’.
The singer’s latest offering arrives shortly after the release of her previous single and video ‘Favourite’, as well as a boisterous remix featuring rising Stockwell-bred rapper Len.
When ‘Favourite’ first dropped, the track initially seemed to be about two deeply intertwined lovers, however at its core, it explores themes of addiction and follows the relationship between a drug dealer and their loyal customer.
Continuing to show the same level of depth, as well as a willingness to unearth difficult and taboo topics, Mya’s new single ‘Tipsy’ revisits addiction and escapism, this time opening up more of herself to the listener than before.
Over a trap-infused R&B instrumental, Mya K guides us through her emotional state of mind while intoxicated, creating a dark and vivid narrative thanks to her gripping story-telling ability.
