Nines makes highly-anticipated return in style with 'Pride'
Reigniting his status as one of the most lyrically dexterous rappers in the game, Nines breaks his lengthy hiatus from putting out music with the release of new single ‘Pride’.
Since dropping his widely acclaimed ‘Crop Circle‘ album in 2018, the Harlesden lyricist has had a quiet 2019 amidst rumours of him being attacked earlier in the year. The latest single, however, sees the rapper return to impeccable form, injecting his flow into the hard-hitting production with an effortless precision.
“I wrote ‘Pride’ in May this year” Nines explains. “When I finished it I knew it was going to be the first bit of music I’d drop since my last album. I wrote it when I was reflecting on everything I’ve achieved, but also whilst thinking about what’s coming next, where I want to take my music and everything I have to accomplish.”
The accompanying visuals show the artist enjoying life: racing around in sports cars and playing tennis on top of skyscrapers, and this return to form suggests an even bigger 2020 is on the cards for the rapper.
