Premiere: Cave Painting – So Calm (Daughn Gibson remix)

Country singer, trucker and Burial fan Daughn Gibson* is one of the year’s most promising and interesting artists, and he’s contributed his first ever remix, which we are premiering below.

So Calm, Cave Painting, a Brighton band signed to Third Rock Recordings, was an epic, uplifting if pretty straightforward alt-rock song. Daughn underplays on the remix, adding the dignified pain of the cowboy on the trail, coming into town for a Saturday night blow out. Reticent cadillac vibes, with Cave Painting’s album ‘Votive Life’ out in late September.
