Premiere: CKtrl - Azula

Lewisham is unstoppable – first the borough gives us Stormzy and Novelist, then Jodie Abacus, and now hotly tipped producer of instrumental heaters, CKtrl. The 22 year old local, known to his family as Bradley Miller, is taking grime back to its do-it-yourself roots – self-releasing his forthcoming single 'Misc/Azula' later this week. We all know that any instrumental utilising the synthetic (but sublime) grime flute is a winner and CKtrl rolls with that thought on Azula, layering it up with rip-roaring, wavey synths and toe-tapping hi-hats.

A surefire classic for the club – Azula is already garnering support from Sampha and grime aficiando Oneman, as well as gaining a spin on Jamie xx's Good Times radio show for NTS. With this in mind, we're expecting to hear quite a bit more from CKtrl in the coming months.
