Premiere: Midnight Davis – Need U Tonight

London label Five Easy Pieces have quietly been going about their business, releasing some peculiarly engaging, left-field pop over the past year or so, with releases from East London’s Royalty, and a strong EP from My Panda Shall Fly and Benjamin Jackson the highlights.

Their next release is from London producer Midnight Davis, who had previously released the ‘Aftershocks’ EP on the label back in January. His new EP ‘Need U Tonight’ is available to download for free for a limited time only, from today. Grab it here. It’s a dreamy, drawn out world he creates across these four tracks, sounds thickly layered, songs stretched and pulled out into new and strange shapes. We’ve also got the title track Need U Tonight available as a download, a rumbling, INXS sampling, piece of heavy pop.
