Premiere: Pearson Sound turns in a dark-edged remix of St. Vincent's 'Dancing With A Ghost'
A lynchpin in the UK underground circuit, Pearson Sound has continually made a deep impression on the trajectory of electronic music.
The Hessle Audio founder was recently selected by Nina Kraviz to slice up a track from St. Vincent’s ‘MASSEDUCTION’ album for a new compilation – ‘MASSEDUCTION Rewired’, alongside the likes of Emika, Batu and Laurel Halo.
Pearson Sound’s remix of ‘Dancing With A Ghost’ – which we’re premiering below – closely follows Jlin’s storming rework of ‘Smoking Section’ (listen to it via our best new music playlist).
On the remix, Pearson chops up Annie Clark’s vox and sets it on top of production filled with unsettling percussive stabs, reverb-y claps and warped, cinematic horns. Tune in now:
