Steel Banglez returns with star-studded new album featuring Chip, Nines, Unknown T and more
One of the UK rap scene's most iconic producers is back at long last. Steel Banglez marks his return today with the release of 'The Playlist', a mammoth 27-track debut album with one of the most star-studded track lists we've seen in British music this year.
Featuring the likes of Giggs, Chip, Mostack, Aitch, Not3s, Blanco, Tion Wayne, BackRoad Gee, Kwengface, Nines, Mostack, Deno, M24, Stefflon Don, D Double E and Ghetts, the album showcases the very best names from the bustling UK rap scene. And that's still not even all of the features on the record.
For the past year, Steel Banglez has been pretty quiet on the music front. After the passing of his close friend Sidhu Moose Wala, the producer took some time out of the limelight to focus on himself. He returned last month with 'Mera Na', the third posthumous release from Wala that also served as Banglez’s tribute to his late friend.
Weaving his own Punjabi heritage through a skeleton of grime, garage, drill, Afroswing and more, Banglez lands on a sound as autobiographical as it is boundary-pushing.
