Team Salut's 'I’m Busy' Is an Anthem for the Do-Not-Disturb Generation
Platinum-selling Afro-electronic duo Team Salut have returned with their high-energy new single 'I’m Busy,' a vibrant, genre-blending anthem tailor-made for anyone who’s ever wanted to switch off the noise and live life on their own terms.
The South London duo, made up of Kojo P (Glen Patnelli) and Aponchi Da Goat (Gabriel Wood), once again showcase their trademark fusion of Afrobeats, Latin rhythms, dancehall breaks, and futuristic club textures. The result is an infectious, bass-driven celebration of movement, joy, and personal space, whether you’re chasing dreams, surrounded by friends, or lost in your own creative flow.
“‘I’m Busy’ is a fun dance song about going on do-not-disturb mode,” Team Salut explain. “It’s about making space for life, love, fun, family, holidays, or just vibing with your own creativity. Everyone can relate to that feeling.”
The track was born in the studio during an interrupted session, when Aponchi’s off-the-cuff hook - “I’m busy” -instantly clicked. From there, the pair built a global-ready banger: radio-friendly Latin grooves, club-ready bounce, and bashment vocal chops that give it a universal, dancefloor-filling appeal.
To mark the release, Team Salut are rolling out not one, not two, but three music videos: a lyric video, a dance performance clip shot in a buzzing office in the Philippines, and an official video filmed in sun-soaked Málaga, Spain.
With a track record that includes global hits like 'Drogba (Joanna)' with Afro B, 'Dance for Me' (Eugy x Mr Eazi), and 'Vroom' for Yxng Bane - plus soundtracking Apple’s 2023 iPhone campaign with 'Wow' - Team Salut continue to push a truly borderless sound.
So turn it up, hit pause, and move to your own rhythm.
