Actress readies new single on Honest Jon's

Actress readies a new single on Honest Jon’s, due out next month. It will be his first official release since last year’s highly acclaimed ‘Splazsh’ LP and the NonPlus-released ‘Harrier ATTK’ that came out in March. This two-track release is a prelude to Actress’s new album, which is likely to drop early next year on the his own Werk Discs label. In July, he gave away ‘Parallel World’, a six-track EP that features previously unreleased material. He’s also recently remixed the likes of Laurel Halo Radiohead, and Panda Bear.

In other release news, the next batch of Honest Jon’s Meets Shangaan Electro remix 12“s will drop soon; Actress is responsible in concluding the series with a double-sided 12” to himself. But before then, MMM, Old Apparatus, Demdike Stare, Hype Williams, Rashad & Spinn and RP Boo’s reworks will spread across three 12“s. In the previous series, contributors include Mark Ernestus, Anthony ‘Shake’ Shakir, Oni Ayhun, Theo Parrish, Burnt Friedman, Ricardo Villalobos & Max Loderbauer amd Peverelist.
