Daniel Avery, Little Simz, Jamie xx and more announced for MELT Festival's 2022 return

One of Europe's most unique festivals is returning with it's biggest line up to date

After being out of action for the last 2 years, Germany’s MELT Festival promises to be bigger and better than ever before in the run up its anticipated return this summer, June 9-12.

The unique festival has been drawing party-goers from around the world to the Mad Max-inspired site of Ferropolis for the past 2 decades, offering an intimate and intense experience not like any other multi-day music event throughout Europe.

With 30 metre-tall cranes towering above a former open-air mining operation – dubbed the “City of Iron” – the location offers the perfect playground to showcase the most boundary-pushing electronic, dance and alternative music from around the globe.

This year, the festival boasts live sets from Daniel Avery and DJ Seinfeld, as well as seminal performances from UK talents Little Simz and Arlo Parks.

On Friday, party-goers can look forward to pulsating Berlin techno from Marcell Dettman and DJ Stingray 303, as well as some of the hottest electronic talent in Fred again.., Palms Traxx and Hunee.

On Saturday, MELT is poised to get fully into the groove of the weekend with rising gen-z superstar – and BBC Sound of 2022 winner – PinkPanthress taking the stage, as well as a performance from globally beloved DJ Peggy Gou.

Fans can also expect mind-bending performances from the likes of Overmono, Leon Vynehall and Octa Octa, before the weekend climaxes with sets from Jamie xx, Biig Piig, Goldlink, Honey Dijon and plenty more.

As well as celebrating over 200 acts and adding an extra pre-day on the Thursday, for even more time partying, this year’s event will see 7 new unique stages added to the City of Iron. In the middle of the Melt Forest, the new Liquid Jungle Stage awaits visitors, while the Ping Pong Stage will also host some big names from the line up.
