Jamie Woon readies debut album 'Mirrorwriting'

Jamie Woon will drop his debut album 'Mirrorwriting' after three years of preparation.

Remember Jamie Woon’s first record ‘Wayfaring Stranger’ that came out in 2007 via Live (which is now rated one of the finest 12“s, thanks to the Burial mix)? After three years of preparation, the 28-year-old British singer readies his debut album entitled ‘Mirrorwriting’, which includes his critically acclaimed 2010 single ‘Night Air’. Burial provided additional production and man-of-the-moment Ramadanman also remixed one of the tracks.

Woon explains that it is a “calming record” which is “made for himself and for other people”. “It’s personal, almost therapeutic. I’m quite a private person and I don’t set out to talk about my business in public but when songs are done you can’t get around it. They are like a code, and all you need is a mirror to read it.”
