Miles Whittaker of Demdike Stare prepares second album 'Ascetic Ideals' under Suum Cuique alias

Manchester soundman will release his second solo album this May on Modern Love.

Suum Cuique is the analogue noise/experiment solo project of Miles Whittaker from Demdike Stare. Following his debut ‘Midden’ album that came out in 2010 on Modern Love imprint Young Americans as well as Demdike Stare’s most recent ‘Elemental’ LP, he returns to the UK label with second effort ‘Ascetic Ideals’. Unlike his other ventures, this eight-track LP is produced using analogue hardware only. It was recorded in between sessions for Demdike Stare’s ‘Elemental’, without using any overdubs or edits, meaning the material comes straight from mixing decks. The album is due for release on vinyl on 28th May in a limited edition of 700 copies.
